Abstract

1467211 Camera diaphragms and shutters PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB 12 Feb 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 5981/75 Headings G2A and J A diaphragm and/or shutter speed setting ring 1 has a stopping lever 3 rigidly connected at 10 to two spring elements 6, 7 which frictionally grip ring 1, so that as ring 1 rotates lever 3 is urged towards ring 1 by the frictional coupling; the other end of lever 3 being pivoted to an armature 4 of an electromagnet 5 so that only when electromagnet 5 is de-energized to release armature 4 can lever 3 move towards ring 1 and stop it by means of a tooth 2. This arrangement obviates the need for springs acting on the armature. As described, upon depression of a release (not shown), ring 1 rotates to set the diaphragm aperture and upon further depression of the release the shutter opens.
