Abstract
1,244,283. Reflex cameras. KOMBINAT PENTACON DRESDEN, KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE. VEB. March 11, 1969, No. 12698/69. Heading G2A. A reflex camera has a mirror-returning gearing in which a spring 7 pivots a mirror into a picture taking position, is cocked by the film winding gearing and, during the pivoting movement, cocks a spring 23 acting directly on the mirror or mirror carrier for the return of the mirror into a viewing position, two mutually coupled levers being provided, one 4 to guide the mirror into the picture taking position, the other 3 to liberate the mirror return at the end of the exposure duration. The position shown corresponds to a picture viewing position, after operation of the film-winding gearing. After operation of the camera release, blocking lever 17 is actuated in the direction of the arrow to disengage itself from the nose 16 of the lever 4 which is thus free to pivot clockwise about spindle 2 under the action of spring 7. In so doing a nose 15 engages lever 21 of the mirror guiding gearing 22 to pivot the mirror into a picture taking position and also to stress torsion spring 23. Lever 4 comes to rest with its nose 16 against lever 3. At the end of the exposure, blocking lever 12 is actuated in the direction of the arrow by means of a shutter part. Lever 3 and the entrained lever 4 are thus free to rotate in an anti-clockwise direction under the action of spring 9. Movement of lever 3 back to its initial blocked position frees lever 21 so that the mirror is returned to its picture viewing position under action of spring 23. Rotation of lever 3 in the direction of the arrow by the film wind gearing restores the mechanism to the position shown. The mutually coupled levers 3, 4 preferably pivot about the mirror spindle 2. Movement of lever 4 allows lever 24 to move which actuates the lens diaphragm. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the lever (29) guiding the mirror into the taking position pivots about the mirror spindle (28), whilst the lever 31 liberating the mirror to return to the viewing position pivots about a spindle (30) carried on lever (29).
