Abstract

936,994. Photographic cameras. KODAK Ltd. Dec. 3, 1959 [Dec. 5, 1958], No. 41079/59. Class 98 (1). Setting members for camera diaphragm aperture and shutter speed which are interconnected so that when the shutter speed increases the aperture decreases are set automatically by a spring in accordance with the light value measured by a photo-electric exposure meter on actuation of the camera operating lever. The operating lever 54 is pressed in the direction of the arrow against a spring 58, permitting a weaker spring 70 to rotate a conventional shutter speed ring 68. By co-operation of the arms 66, 62, ring 68 rotates a diaphragm setting ring 60 carrying pins 74, 76 which, co-operating with slots 78, 80 separate the diaphragm vanes 82, 84 forming the aperture 92. The serrated edge 94 of vane 82 is arrested by an arm 18 on a photoelectrically energized moving coil 16. This limits the aperture and determines the speed ring setting. At the end of its travel, lever 54 actuates the shutter release 96.
