Abstract

1465918 Casting concrete in plastics shell BREDEROS BOUWBEDRIJF NEDERLAND BV 7 May 1974 [7 May 1973] 20088/74 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] Plastics clad concrete blocks for forming a dismantleable wall in a nuclear power plant 2, are manufactured by casting the concrete into the casing through a pouring gate 3 in one of its walls, allowing the concrete to harden and then filling the gate with plastics mortar and allowing that to harden. The casing is 1À5 to 3À0 preferably 2 mm. thick and made of polyethylene. The casings may be placed next to each other in an open container and if required kept in place by horizontal cross-bars to avoid bulging of the walls during casting of the concrete. The plastics casing is made from two injection moulded parts attached together along seam 5.
