Abstract

1465590 Electro-photographic copier XEROX CORP 14 Nov 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 49364/74 Heading G2H A colour-corrected, substractive copying process comprises the steps of forming an electrostatic image 84 formed by light filtered through a cyan filter, and developed with cyan toner, transferring the image 84 to a support sheet 40 and then superimposing an image 86 similarly produced with magenta filter and toner. A constant voltage is applied to the sheet 40 so that where the second image 86 overlies the first 84 a lesser electrostatic field is produced causing a thinner layer (size H) than that size G, of image 84 thus compensating for magenta impurities in the cyan toner. A yellow image of thickness I is similarly superposed.
