Abstract
1464999 Timepiece balances FABRIQUE D'HORLOGERIE CHS TISSOT ET FILS SA 12 June 1974 [20 June 1973] 26124/74 Heading G3T A balance spring 15 is fixed to a balance staff 1 by means of a metal collet 8 which has an axially extending impulse pin 18 to co-operate with the fork 20 of a pallet lever 21. The staff may be of metal or moulded from plastics integrally with a hub 5 and radial arms for attachment to a rim. An axial groove 2 in the staff co-operates with lever dart 22. The inner end of the spring 15 fits closely around a surface 14 on the collet and is held by adhesive 16 in a notch 17. The notch is shown in the side face of the collet but may alternatively be in the adjacent end-face. The outer surface of the pin 18 is coaxial with the collet while the pin's inner face 19 is cut by a tool rotating about an axis parallel to that of the collet.
