Abstract

1464496 Knitting machines ELITEX 23 April 1975 [2 May 1974] 16720/75 Heading D1C A yarn-cutting device for a circular, e.g. double cylinder, knitting machine comprises a movable blade 16 reciprocable in its length direction to catch in a recess the yarn issuing from a yarn guide 3 and to sever such yarn in cooperation with a stationary blade 17, the severed yarn end being trapped between the blade 16 and a lever 19 preferably spring 21 biassed against the back of the blade. Each feed of the machine has a plurality of yarn guides 3 with associated blades 16, a common blade 17 being provided. The guides and blades 16 are selectively moved under the control of a control drum through cables 11 and levers 8. The clamping force of lever 19 is adjustable. A yarn guiding wire 24 is provided.
