1464318 Combustion system C S ARROYOGARCIA 27 Feb 1975 [12 Sept 1974] 8195/75 Heading F4T A combustion system comprises a fuel heating chamber 3, a fuel tank 1 connected to the chamber via a fuel conduit 4, which is in heat exchanging relationship with a drainage conduit 6 of the chamber, means 10 for supplying air to the chamber, and a burner 14 connected to the chamber and an air supply 25. Fuel is also supplied to chamber 3 by a conduit 2, and preferably electronically actuated valves 9 are provided in conduits 2 and 4. Atmospheric air is supplied through a conduit 11 to chamber 3 and also to an outer chamber 16 via a conduit 15, heated oxygenated fuel being supplied to the burner from chamber 3 via conduit 13, and heated air being supplied from chamber 16 through conduit 17. The fuel is heated in a reservoir 28 by an electric induction heater 18. A pilot and spark plug igniter 26 is provided for the burner, and may be controlled through a photo-cell.
