Abstract

1464040 Mounting reels on shafts G RITZERFELD 4 Sept 1974 [11 Sept 1973] 38589/74 Heading F2U A sleeve 4 of flexible material is mounted on a shaft 1, one end of the sleeve being fitted on a bush 9 screwed to the shaft and the other having a bush 13 within it which fits on the shaft 1, the bush 9 having a spring tongue 12 extending from it to engage the sleeve 4, the tongue 12 being a bent-up part of a tape spring 11 held to the bush 9 by a screw 10. The sleeve 4 can be of cardboard or plastics material. The assembly is shown as a reel supporting an ink ribbon 3. The sleeve 4 is mounted on shaft 1 by movement in direction A, is axially held in one direction by a shoulder or bush 9 and is restrained against axial movement in the opposite direction by spring tongue 12.
