Abstract
PURPOSE:To contrive a broader favorable-printing range and a lower position adjustment cost, by forming an outer peripheral part of a recording roller from a flexible material such as sponge rubber, and providing a limiting member for maintaining a fixed spacing between the axis of the roller and a recording head. CONSTITUTION:When a recording head 6 is pressed against a recording roller 7, an outer peripheral part of the roller 7 which part is formed of, for example, sponge rubber and has a low hardness is elastically deformed until both ends of the head 6 make contact with limiting wheels 8 provided on both sides of the roller 7. Recording is conducted, with this condition maintained. Therefore, even when the elastic deformation of the roller 7 is great, a recording paper is paid out by the roller 7 at a payout velocity equal to the circumferential velocity of the wheels 8, so that the payout velocity the payout velocity can be made constant. The wheels 8 are formed from, for example, a resin having a low coefficient of friction with the head 6, and a broad favorable-printing range can be obtained without increasing the torque of a driving motor for the roller 7. Therefore, a printing part 6A can be adjusted without need for high accuracy.
