Abstract

1463852 Electromagnets R J MILLER 30 April 1975 [21 June 1974] 27641/74 Heading H1P An electric solenoid has ferromagnetic armature 2 axially movable of an energizable surrounding solenoid mounted on magnetic bracket 4. The armature 2 has a projecting tongue 5 at one end extending through a slotted non- magnetic bush 8 fitted into a slotted upright 7 of the bracket and is movable against a restoring spring 3. The plunger may be hollow, and have an intermediate portion of reduced cross-section between its body and the tongue.
