Abstract

1463664 Ventilator nozzle CLEARPLAS & VACUUMET Ltd 29 April 1974 [25 May 1973] 25273/73 Heading F4V A ventilator nozzle, e.g. for installation in a motor vehicle facia panel, comprises a hollow housing 10 defining a flow passage for air 20, two semi-circular vanes 16 pivoted about a common axis on a shaft 17 to regulate the air flow, and operating means including a centrallypivoted lever 18 engageable with the vanes for moving them about their pivot axis. The vanes are biased against the ends of the lever 18 by a coil spring 19. The lever 18 is mounted on the inner end of a shaft 14 on whose outer end is mounted a control knob 15. The shaft is mounted in a bearing 13 supported from the housing 10. The outer part of the housing 10 is part spherical to enable universal swivelling thereof in a fixed housing (not shown) to change the direction of air flow.
