Abstract
A swirl generator for an air outlet of a ventilating installation having a tube with an inlet opening and with an outflow opening designed as an outflow nozzle, which is provided with a plurality of radially outward-pointing swirl vanes held by a hub arranged centrally in the tube, each having a swirl vane spindle and being adjustable as regards their angle of attack, is to be developed further in such a way that the matching and adjustment work is reduced and the adjustment of all the swirl vanes of a swirl generator can be carried out simultaneously, and is also to be simple and economical to manufacture and simple to operate in use, if required by remote control. For this purpose, it is proposed that the hub (11) arranged in the air outlet (1) should be of two-part design and have a hub body (11.1) with at least one bearing collar (12) having bearing grooves (12.1; 12.2) for the swirl vane spindles (21) and have an adjusting part (11.2) which can be connected to the said hub body, can be rotated adjustably relative to the said body and is provided with driving means which interact with the swirl vane spindles (21) in such a way that a rotation of the adjusting part (11.2) about an axis lying in the direction of the air outlet (1) results in a rotation of all the swirl vanes (20) about their swirl vane spindles (21), the swirl vane spindles (21) being aligned transversely to the direction of the air outlet (1). <IMAGE>
