Abstract
1463558 Containers for tape cassettes N J GARROD 21 Jan 1975 [4 Feb 1974] 05095/74 Heading B8P A container which may hold tape cassettes and cartridges and may be of the drawer 2 and shell 1 type has cushioning flaps 6 extending from a fold line 7 on side walls 4 towards and partly closing an open end of the drawer. A closure flap 5 finally closes the open end. The walls 4 are of double thickness and the flaps 6 have cut outs 8 which leave a portion 9 adhered to and thus reinforcing the wall 4. Flaps 20 or a separate injection moulding secured to the tray base with adhesive are positioned to engage the spool apertures in the cassette. In a second embodiment the sleeve comprises two blanks one forming the top wall and the other forming the bottom wall, double layer side walls and double layer flaps (17, Fig. 5, not shown), to which the blanks for the wall is adhered. In a modification of this embodiment the sleeve may be made from a single blank.
