Abstract

1463529 Window stays D E C WEBSTER 2 Oct 1974 [13 Nov 1973] 42791/74 Heading E2F In a window stay for connecting a window casement 13 to a window frame 14, the stay bar 10 is provided with a holding plate 18 provided with a longitudinal slot 24 through which extends a pin member 16 secured to a base member 15 fastened to the window frame 14, and catch stud 23 is provided on the window casement 13 to prevent movement of the stay bar 10 relative to the pin member 16 when the window is in its closed position. Although the catch stud 23 is angled to the vertical by 45‹ the catch stud may comprise an upstanding bar member (27, Figure 20, not shown) having a groove (28) which is adapted to engage an edge portion of the captive plate 18. In the latter embodiment and another (Figures 12-19 inc., not shown) the pin member 16 and the catch stud are both mounted on the same member which is attached to the window frame 14.
