Abstract
1462972 Pyroelectric ceramics DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 14 Jan 1975 [16 Jan 1974] 02092/74 Heading C1J A pyroelectric ceramic comprises a composition consisting of PbTiO 3 , PbZrO 3 and Pb(Ni 1/5 Fe 1/5 Nb 3/5 )O 3 in solid solution, the composition of the component being bounded by a quadrilateral ABCD on the ternary diagram of the Figure,the mol. percentages of the respective components of the composition being 0, 40 and 60 at point A, 20, 20 and 60 at point B, 30, 20 and 50 at point C and 0, 65, 35 at point D. The ceramic may further comprise up to 2-5 wt. per cent manganese oxide (MnO). Specification 1,385,821 and U.S.A. Specification 3,637,506 are referred to.
