Piezoelectric ceramics consist of a solid solution of Pb(Sb 1 / 2 Z 1 / 2 )O 3 , PbTiO 3 and PbZrO 3 where Z is Nb or Ta and 0À1 to 3 wt. per cent of MnO. Up to 25 atom per cent of the Pb may be replaced by Ba, Sr or Ca.
