1275961 Piezo-electric ceramics SANYO ELECTRIC CO Ltd 23 May 1969 [27 May 1968 24 Sept 1968 (6)] 26349/69 Heading C1J Piezo-electric ceramic compositions comprise (a) a solid solution corresponding to the formula Pb(Ni 1/3 Nb 2/3 ) x Ti y Zr z O 3 where x+y+z = 1 and containing 2À5 to 62À5 mole per cent Pb(Ni 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 , not more than 75% PbTiO 3 and not more than 87À5% PbZrO 3 or (b) a solid solution corresponding to the formula where x+y+z = 1 and containing 2 to 60 mole per cent Pb(Ci 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 , not more than 60% PbTiO 3 and not more than 80% PbZrO 3 . The compositions can also comprise up to 3 wt. per cent of the oxides of Mn, Zn, Cr, Fe, Ta and Th.
