1462659 Pneumatic hammers VSES NI I PROEKT KONSTRUKT INST MEKHANIZ I RUCH STROIT-MONTAZH INSTRUMENT VIBRAT I STROIT OTDELOCH MASHIN 20 May 1974 22314/74 Heading B4C A pneumatic hammer comprises a housing 1 with a barrel 2 containing a hammer piston mounted therein, a handle 4 mounted on the housing; a first portion 9 of the barrel nearest the handle and a second larger portion 10, bush type sealing means 12, 13 mounted on said portion and sealing with the housing either directly or as by a sealing ring 20, a spring member 16 between the sealing means 12, 13 acting with compressed air spaces 14, 15 and guide means 23 between the barrel and housing to reduce vibration in the handle. A rubber-coated locking sleeve 39 is provided adjacent the tool and is locked by a leaf-spring 36 against rotation which would allow for removal of the tool.
