Abstract

1462540 Doffing arrangement MASCHINENFABRIK HEINZ WELLER 4 July 1974 [4 July 1973] 29618/74 Headings DID and D1J A doffing apparatus for spinning or winding frames comprises a plurality of annular discs 4 arranged on respective spindle shafts below associated packages 3, and a thrusting mechanism for thrusting the annular discs against the bobbins of the packages thereby freeing the packages from the spindle shafts, wherein the thrusting mechanism comprises a motor 12 coupled via a lever arrangement 8, 9, 10 to a plurality of plungers 5 adapted to bear against the annular discs. The plungers may be constrained to move in the direction of thrust of the annular discs and may be rigidly interconnected by a cross beam 9 to provide simultaneous movement. Alternatively the plungers may be of different lengths to provide for sequential thrusting against the annular rings 4. The motor may be connected with the plungers via a flexible member 11. A limit switch 17 may be provided to limit movement of the lever arrangement.
