Abstract

1462075 Valves CROFTSHAW (ENGS) Ltd 21 May 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 8061/74 Heading F2V In a low-pressure gas flow control valve having a large diameter seat 2 the closure member 6 has a recess 16 receiving a mushroom head 13 fixed to the end of a piston-rod of an actuating cylinder 10. The closure member, which has a conical portion 7 with a depending rim 8, contacts the head 13 with a flat surface 17 and can thereby pivot relative the piston-rod to squarely contact the seat. The head 13 and piston-rod are screwed together and held by a transverse pin (19) and a locknut (20).
