1457939 Melt spinning apparatus BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 4 Oct 1974 [4 Oct 1973] 43094/74 Heading B5B Melt spinning apparatus comprises a spinneret 3, and a filament duct consisting of a gas-blowing section 1 and a free-fall section 2, the free-fall section being divided by a partition 24 into a filament guide duct 8 and an exhaust gas duct 23 having an outlet 14, the partition having a gas throughflow opening for instance at the filament outlet end 10. Alternatively the gas throughflow opening may be in the form of slots or perforations in the partition. The cooling gas used may be air.
