1457669 Brewer's copper BTE BRAUEREI TECHNIK ESSEN GmbH 21 March 1974 [21 March 1973] 12756/74 Heading C6E [Also in Divisions B1 and F4] A brewer's copper 1 comprises a cup 4 or channel 5 extending downwardly from the lowest floor level, which contains a heater 3 spaced from both a wall and a floor thereof. A fixed deflector 8 may be incorporated at a distance from the heater and a wall of the cup or channel. The heater may be arranged centrally in the cup or channel or may be attached to a wall thereof and may have its upper end either above or below the highest level of the cup or channel. A circular copper Fig. 2 comprises a hollow cylinder 8 as deflector, said cylinder overlapping the upper end of the heater. The cylinder may have guide ribs on its inside wall and a stirring device with agitators 12, arranged in the cylinder and beneath the heater, may be provided. A rectilinear copper Fig. 4 has a copper wall which is coplanar with a wall of the housing 10, 6 which is formed as a channel, the heater being attached to said wall, and the deflector comprises an angled guide-plate 8. At least one agitator 12 may be employed.
