Abstract
1457654 Simulating solar cells LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS GmbH 16 April 1974 [14 April 1973] 16589/74 Heading G4G An electric circuit simulating a solar cell and having means for adjusting the no-load voltage, the shape of the characteristic curve and the short-circuit current comprises a constant current source I K1 feeding a reference element in the form of a Zener diode D 1 and a resistor z 3 in parallel whose other ends are connected to a voltage divider R1, R2. Point A is connected to one input of a variable gain amplifier V1, the output of which is amplified by amplifier V2 and T1 to T4 and the amplified signal is taken via diode D4 to the load. A feedback loop B is taken from the output to the other input of amplifier V2. A voltage related to the output current is generated in resistor R 16 and amplified in V 3 , T 5 and T 6 , the collector of the latter being taken to the junction of resistors R 4 , R 5 . It is shown that the circuit will have the required characteristics and that these can be adjusted by varying the values of variable resistors R2, R7, R16, R20 and R26.
