Abstract

1456445 Electrical steel sheet NIPPON STEEL CORP 20 March 1974 [20 March 1973] 12328/74 Heading C7A A steel comprising:- the remainder, apart from unavoidable impurities, being iron, is cold-rolled, with a reduction in the, or the final, cold-rolling step of at least 70%, decarburization annealed and then final annealed to give a grain oriented electrical sheet with high magnetic flux density. The steel may be hot-rolled (e.g. while being held at 1200-850‹C for 60-360 seconds) prior to cold-rolling which may be effected in more than two steps with interannealing at 750 - 1200‹C for 1 - 30 mins in a neutral or reducing gas or in a single step with preannealing under these conditions.
