Abstract

1456283 Suspension system for movable partitions HOUGH MFG CORP 3 May 1974 [3 May 1973 27 March 1974] 19635/74 Heading E1J Movable room-dividing partitions comprise panels 12 with seals 272 suspended from a trackway 14 by carriers 16, the trackway comprises two load-bearing ledges 22, 24 and two guiding ledges 42, 44 with a slot 26 between; the ledges with the sides 64, 66 and the top 62 form the trackway which is bolted to a support The carrier consists of a bolt 32 secured to the panel, e.g. by 302, 240, 232, and two discs 28, 30, e.g. of nylon, which are journalled to the bolt by thrust bearings. The upper disc 28 bears on the ledge 22 and the lower disc 30 on the ledge 24 on the other side of slot 26. The trackway is made in sections capable of end-to-end assembly and may include right-angled turns, intersections and cross-overs.
