Abstract

903,917. Sliding doors. SPORK, E. E. Dec. 14, 1960 [Dec. 17, 1959], No. 42937/60. Class 20 (3). A sliding door mounting includes two or more hangers each of which comprises mounting means preferably adjustable as the screwed end of the shaft 23 in the door mounting-plate 28 and locked in position by lock-nut 30 and a pair of discs 33, 34 of the same or different diameters, mounted infixed vertical relationship on the same axis 23 or on different axes, to the mounting means, the lower, e.g. nylon, surfaces of the discs 33, 34 engaging respectively front and rear supporting rails 17, 19 on the track assembly 12, so that on movement of the door they counter-rotate. A radial bore 26 in the shaft 23 enables a tool to be inserted for adjustment of the shaft in relation to the door. The rear web 16 of the track assembly 12 has a hook flange 20 to engage brackets 21 on the surface 13 and a lower contact flange 22. Alternative forms of the track assembly 12 for securing to horizontal or vertical surfaces are described.
