Abstract
1455438 Liquid cargo transfer moorings WESER AG 20 Dec 1973 [20 Dec 1972] 59129/ 73 Heading B8E [Also in Division B7] A mooring stage 1 floating on bodies 3 has couplings 5 for connection by pipes to ships manifolds and connected through an anchoring base 6 to sea bed pipes. The mooring stage 1 is linked to the base 6 by an oblique tie-bar 7 mounted to allow turning through 360 degrees and pivoting about a horizontal axis. The tiebar 7 is connected to the stage 1 through buffer means in the form of semi submerged displacement bodies 8 pivoted thereto and connected by a higher pivotal joint plates 9 at a higher level so as to compensate for horizontal forces set up in the stage 1. The bodies 8 may be received and pivoted directly in a recess in the stage 1 while the tie-bar 7 may be connected to the top of an underwater storage tank.
