Abstract
1455386 Mining installations GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA 21 Feb 1974 [23 Feb 1973 (2)] 7998/74 Heading E1F A unit for attachment to a scraper-chain conveyer 1 on the side of the conveyer remote from the working face, for guiding a winning machine, e.g. a plough, along the conveyer, comprises side plates 6, 7, upper and lower connectors 3, 4, the lower connector 4 having bushings 15 which serve to receive bolts to attach the unit to the conveyer,. and a guide 14 for locating and guiding an arm (not shown) of the winning machine. The upper connector comprises two plates 8 and 9 welded together and to the side plates, an upstanding limb 8" of the plate 8 defining with a cylindrical guide member 13, welded to the upper edge of the side plate 6, a guide channel 14. The lower connector comprises spaced inverted V-shaped plates 16, (16'), Fig. 1 (not shown), having the bushings 15 at their vertices. The bushings 15 and bolts (20), Fig. 3 (not shown), terminate within the space between the side plates, and apertures (19) are provided in the outer side plate 7 for access to the bolts.
