Abstract

1454173 Load handling pallets VEREINIGTE VERPACKUNGS GmbH 12 Oct 1973 [16 Oct 1972] Heading B8H [Also in Divisions E2 and F2] In the manufacture of corrugated cardboard pallets tubular supports or bearers are secured to a deck sheet 15 by punching out flaps 13, shaped as sectors of a circle, in the sheet at predetermined places corresponding to the positions of the supports, coaxially positioning inner and outer members 10, 12 of the supports on respective opposite sides of the sheet at the said predetermined positions and then force fitting the inner tubular member within the outer tubular member with the flaps held therebetween. The annular space between the inner and outer tubular members is preferably of a thickness of 70 to 90% of that of the compressed corrugated sheet.
