[Also in Division B7] A component of a floating bridge comprises an element 1 of inverted U-section inside which is an inflatable tube 6. The tube may be enclosed by a membrane 5 of rubberised fabric, plastics or aluminium foil. The element 1 comprises metal sheet bent in zig-zag form and covered with metal sheets. The U-shape of the elements allows compact packing for transport.
