1453351 Lamps DUCELLIER & CIE 4 Jan 1974 [9 Jan 1973] 00359/74 Heading F4R An adaptor for holding a two-filament H4 type halogen bulb in a bulb-receiving socket 2 formed in a headlamp reflector (1) and designed to accommodate an E type bulb having a base of greater diameter than the base of the halogen bulb comprises a strip 9 of metal bent to a polygonal shape and secured to the interior of the socket by welding or other means along at least three sides 11 of the polygon, one of the other sides 10 being designed to engage a flat (7) on the base of the halogen bulb and the remaining sides being tangential to an inscribed circle having the same diameter as the cylindrical part of the bulb base.
