1453345 Disazo pigments CIBA-GEIGY AG 19 June 1974 [20 June 1973] 27111/74 Heading C4P Disazo pigments have the formula wherein A denotes an alkylene, arylene or heterocyclic radical, Z denotes hydrogen or halogen, or an alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl or aryloxy group, R denotes an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or heterocyclic radical, and B denotes an aromatic radical. The pigments are prepared by diazotization and coupling, and the esterification reaction may be performed after the coupling reaction. The pigments give yellowish hues with plastic compositions, melts, spinning solutions, lacquers, paints or printing inks.
