1453208 Tamper-indicating bottle cap of shrinkable plastics material METALLKAPSELFABRIK LOOS & CO GmbH 25 Oct 1974 [16 March 1974] 46228/74 Heading B8T A bottle cap or cover 2, made from shrinkable synthetic plastics material which can be closely shrunk on to a bottle neck 1 over a peripheral projection 4, is provided with at least one axially extending row of perforations 3 as a tamperindicating feature. The perforations 3 start at a distance b below that part of the cap 2 which, in use, is situated over the peripheral projection 4 and ends at a distance a from the lower edge of the cap such that the cap can be shrunk on to the bottle neck without the cap splitting along the, or any, row of perforations, and the cap splits along at least one row when the shrunk-on cap is moved upwardly over the projection 4. The projection 4 may be part of the bottle neck or a crown closure or a screwed stopper.
