145,307. Humphrys, F. W. Aug. 29, 1919. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Railways for recreation. -An approximately circular inclined track of the kind comprising a pair of parallel rails suspended from cross-beams supported by uprights and adapted to carry hangers provided with wheels or rollers and intended to be gripped by the hands of persons using the same, is provided with two or more tracks arranged side by side, the rails a being suspended by inverted T-pieces b from a series of crossbeams c supported by uprights d and each crossbeam carrying three or more T-pieces. The tracks may 'be parallel to each other throughout their length or they may be sinuous so that adjacent tracks approach and then recede from one another. The hangers comprise handles h projecting from a bar j pivotally suspended from an axle k provided with wheels or rollers m running on the rails a. A safety net may be provided beneath the tracks. Adjacent to the upper ends of the tracks is provided a platform to which access is obtained by a travelling, rocking, or stationary staircase, travelling chairs, or a lift.
