Abstract

1452498 FM demodulators; squelch circuits SHARP KK 7 Dec 1973 [9 Dec 1972] 56904/73 Headings H3A and H3T A phase-lock-loop type frequency demodulator 6 comprises a further phase comparator 22 receiving the input signal and oscillator signal of the loop and producing a signal indicating phase-lock. As shown the indicating signal is used to silence the output amplifier 12 when phase lock is absent, e.g. when tuning between stations.
