Abstract

The transmitter is phase modulated by digital signals, and the received signal frequency is demodulated in the receiver. The transmitter frequency is at the same time modulated with the service signal, and the two signals are separated in the receiver by a filter or a frequency multiplier. The service signal is coded, transmitter frequency is modulated by the coded signal, and the received signals are decoded. If the service signal consists of several independent parts, e.g. conversation, signalling and distance monitoring, they are transmitted by frequency or time division multiplexing.
