Abstract

1,206,906. Multiplex radio signalling. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 21 May, 1969 [23 May, 1968], No. 25950/69. Heading H4L. In a radio signalling system, particularly for telemetering, a main P.C.M. signal occupies a frequency band 1 and further analogue signals are transmitted by frequency modulating the sub-carriers 2 to 7, the resulting composite signal frequency-modulating a main carrier wave. The invention relates to a receiver for use in this system in which the incoming signals are amplified at 9, frequency-changed at 11 and supplied to filters 12, 13. Filter 12 has a wide passband and co-operates with an amplitude limiter and frequency discriminator 14 supplying the sub-carrier channel filters 21 to 26. Filter 13 has a narrow passband and cooperates with an amplitude limiter and frequency discriminator 27 supplying a pulse regenerator 29 for the F.C.M. signal.
