Abstract
1452450 Steel rail wheel FRIED KRUPP HUTTENWERKE AG 19 May 1975 [24 May 1974] 21298/75 Heading C7A A rail wheel, with at least the rim consisting of:- Fe Bal plus normal impurities, is hot formed and either air cooled or preferably, water quenched from forming temperature to produce a wheel with a rim strength of at least 900 M/mm<SP>2</SP> and a yield of at least 650 M/mm<SP>2</SP> with good rupture and abrasion resistance and not susceptible to the formation of abrasion martensite.
