Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a large steel wire rod having excellent toughness, fatigue characteristics, delayed fracture characteristics, or the like by heating a high C steel wire rod to a temp. above AC3 transformation point and quenching the heated wire at a rate under the S-curve nose, followed by reduction and isothermal transformation.
