Abstract

1451255 Row crop harvester INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 10 Jan 1974 [10 Jan 1973] 01147/74 Heading A1F A row crop harvester comprises at least two crop dividers 2, Fig. 1 and has mounted in a crop guiding surface 22 Fig. 2 of one of the dividers, a rotor 35 having a plurality of axially extending paddles 38 which form an undulating peripheral surface whereby crop may be swept towards the rear of a plant passage 4 or shaken free from entanglement with plants in adjacent rows. The rotor 35 is driven by a chain and sprocket assembly 80, 82, 84 from a conventional crop guidechain drive-mechanism, at a peripheral speed in excess of the speed of the crop guide-chains 26, 27. A stripping bar 73 Fig. 2 is adjustably positioned parallel to and adjacent the rotor axis to remove plant stalks therefrom.
