Abstract

1450738 Frame joints NYKVARNS SKYLT AB 8 May 1974 20379/74 Heading F2M Frame members 1, e.g. of plastics material, having a base 2, resilient flange 3 and a more rigid flange 4 are connected together in abutment, e.g. with mitred ends in contact, by a connecting piece 6 having arms 9, 10 each provided, on a face 15, with a longitudinal rib 12 and a transverse rib 13 (or alternatively with similarly disposed grooves), the arms 9, 10 being insertable in the spaces 5 between the flanges 3 and 4 of each frame member such that the ribs 12, 13 (or grooves) of each arm engage, by transverse or longitudinal movement with a snap action, corresponding grooves 7, 8 (or ribs) in a facing surface 14 of the flange 4 of the associated frame member. A reinforcing plate 11 may be rigidly joined to the arms 9, 10 to increase the rigidity of the connection.
