1443037 Plastics spacer PLASTIC SEALS Ltd 15 Aug 1974 [23 Aug 1973] 40083/73 Headings E2A and E2B A resilient plastics spacer comprises a spacer portion 4 for spacing apart a pair of plate-like members, means to secure at least one of the members thereto comprising a tubular boss 6, 7 with at least one arm 8, 9 forming part of its side wall resiliently displaceable relatively thereto between projected and retracted positions to secure the member between it and the end face of portion 4. Spacer 4 may have flanges 5 for engaging the plate-like members. Bosses 6, 7 may be of circular and rectangular cross-section, respectively. The ends 8a, 9a, of the arms 8, 9 may be inclined to accommodate variations in thickness of the plate-like members. To adjust spacing between a pair of the platelike members, the spacer may be molded in two relatively adjustable parts or the securing means at one end of the spacer may be complementary to that at the other end so that two or more spacers may be snapped together end-to-end.
