Abstract

1450497 Stackable plates TEDECO VERPACKUNG GmbH 24 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 23218/74 Heading A4A A stackable plate of thin plastics film has a base 1, an annular wall 2 extending from said base and a rim 3 projecting radially outwards from said wall, said rim 3 being bent in a narrow region obliquely downwards and inwards, at 4, and then radially outwards, at 5, forming an approximately Z-shaped cross-section. A narrow annular shoulder 6 is formed on the wall, parallel to the base 1 at the same level as the lower portion of the rim, see Fig. 3, and is connected to the rim by means of a collar 7 which becomes narrower towards the rim, preventing the plates in the stack from jamming. In the embodiments shown, the rim is substantially square, having rounded off corners 3a and straight sides 3b, only these sides being provided with the Z-shaped portions. Parts 3a of the rim periphery include rim portion 8 which is bent obliquely downwards and outwards. The rim is thus provided with at least two support points 10 for tipping the stacked plates. In the embodiment of Fig. 5 (not shown), the radial distance between the wall (2') and the nearest part of the rim portion (4'), which is bent downwards, is smaller than that of the radial rim portion (3').
