Abstract

The reel, particularly for storing small mass-produced articles held together chain-fashion, comprises a core (2) with disc-shaped upper (4) and lower flanges (3). The lower flange has a larger dia. than the upper flange and is provided with a downward collar (5) at its periphery where height corresponds with that of the reel such that, when two reels are superimposed, the collar of the higher reel rests on the periphery of the lower flange of the reel below. The collar pref. has an outer downward lip (6) which engages a corresponding annular recess (7) at the periphery by the upper face of the flange on which it rests.
