Abstract

Class 120(3) A spool for winding wire comprises a divided hub 2 and flanges 1 of plastic material detachably interconnected and axially secured by neck portions 3 and overlapping annular projections on the hub. Ribs or tenons 5 on the hub halves prevent relative rotation of the bobbin parts. Pawls 6 or strips of adhesive tape 8 may be used to maintain hub and flange positions. The flanges are inwardly flared and the hub 2 has a rippled surface 2a.
