Abstract

1449727 Transistor switching circuits BURROUGHS CORP 2 May 1974 [1 June 1973] 19232/74 Heading H3T [Also in Division G3] A biasing voltage circuit produces an output which is not sensitive to variations in a supply voltage but which varies in dependence on temperature so as to compensate for variations in base-to-emitter junction voltage of an output transistor. The output voltage maintains a constant supply to the emitters of two transistors forming a current mode logic circuit. As shown, a CML gate circuit includes a differential amplifier 91, 93 supplied with constant current by transistors 101, 107 in order to stabilise its input thresholds and output voltage levels. Transistors 101, 107 are controlled by a biasing voltage V R produced by a feedback compensation circuit 112 including an output transistor 115, the voltage across which is independent of variations in the level of a supply voltage V EE . Transistors 123, 127 are connected so as to produce a temperature variation in the voltage V R which compensates for temperature variations in the base-emitter voltages of constant current transistors 101, 107.
