Abstract

144,912. Beedle, W., and Blake, G. Aug. 1, 1919. Jet nozzles.-A nozzle for producing a fan-shaped spray is formed with an obstruction a, Figs. 1 and 3, extending half-way across the opening, opposite which is a sharp-edged lip c, Fig. 1, with its edge terminating in the plane of the surface of the obstruction and separated from the latter by a longitudinal space d. Fig. 3 shows a modification, in which the lip is absent, a portion of the front end of the nozzle being cut away to form the exit opening d'.
