Abstract
1447838 Waveguide circulators OKI ELECTRIC INDUSTRY CO Ltd 30 Aug 1974 [30 Aug 1973] 37914/74 Heading H1W A ferrimagnetic circular or polygonal post at the junction of a waveguide H-plane circulator is dimensioned to resonate in the TM m1 mode where m#2. The Specification describes a three-port circulator in which a ferrite post 5b of circular section has a radius determined by the TM 210 mode of resonance. It is attached at one end to a conductive or dielectric mode-matching member 6-1b, the opposite end being spaced from a second such member 6-2b. These members may have a triangular section and the member 6-2b may be omitted. The post is magnetized by permanent magnets 3-1, 3-2. The Specification contains a theoretical discussion of the invention.
