Abstract

144,759. Jamieson, J. S. Aug. 11, 1919. Dough-dividing machines.-Relates to machines for dividing dough or like plastic material of the type comprising knives or blades A arranged at right-angles to each other and co-operating with plungers C, and comprises improvements in the mounting of the blades and plungers. The blades A are secured to a spider A<1> which is furnished with bosses' A' slitted to pass over the blades, the portions of the blades within the bosses being removed and tapped to receive securing-screws A<2>, A<3> of which the screws A<3> serve also to connect the spider to an extension A' of the spindle D. Each row of plungers C is formed as an interchangeable unit, being integrally united by a bar C<1>, Fig. 5, which is adapted to be secured to a supporting-plate C<4>, Fig. 1, by screws entering holes C<2>, Fig. 5. The spindle D is operated through rack-and-pinion gear and actuates the plate C' through trip-gear.
